What I Wore || Frocks and Berries

“I'd give all the wealth that years have piled, // the slow result of life's decay,

To be once more a little child // for one bright summer day.”

Change

Praying about approaching change.
Perspective...

Change can be good.

Change can be necessary for growth.

No need to fear change.

So take a chance, a risk.

What I Wore || Dawn After a Storm

"There's somethin' 'bout the way the street looks when it's just rained…

And I don't know why but with you I'd dance in a storm in my best dress, fearless…"

Still too short...

I still find each day too short for all the thoughts I want to think, all the walks I want to take, all the books I want to read, and all the friends I want to see.
-- John Burroughs--

I am a reader. One of my favorite parts of being home-schooled was the plethora of books I got to read each year. On top of the required reading, I read for pleasure. I used to read one book per week. I couldn't wait to graduate so that I could spend all my time reading. You get the picture.

Well this reader has been taking a breather for some time now. I've been working. So while I haven't been fulfilling my dream of reading all the time I have been acquiring books like nobody's business (which I wasn't able to do when I was in school and jobless). Imagine the library I will have one day when I finally purchase some more book cases (and a house to put them in)!

This week I am getting back into gear, I am finishing all the books that I have started (whether recently or years ago) and once that is done I might just put myself back onto a one-book-per-week schedule. :)

1. Recent photo-shoot with Jessica | 2. A few of my books before I acquired a second bookcase | 3. Snuggled up on the couch on a rainy day | 4. At Phoenix Park | 5. The stack of books I bought from the Library book sale this week | 6. Picking up where I left off about three years ago... | 7. Health, life and recipes -- expanding my reading horizons | 8. The view from our hammock, a lovely place to read

My favorite resources for acquiring books are as follows:
- Being given books by family and friends (I have received some real gems from my G'pa, a Great Aunt and one of my Mom's co-workers!)
- Library book sales (where the most expensive book is $1!)
- ThirftBooks.com ($3.95 on average for a book and free shipping anywhere in the US!)
- Amazon.com (always cheaper than the local book store and the added bonus of a package in the mail!)
- Thrift store in England and Shakespeare & Co. in Paris (once in a lifetime opportunities!)

What I Wore || Hot Day

Today was a "cooker"!

Nevertheless I determined it was worth leaving the comfort of my cool house to take some photos of what I wore.

It was the kind of hot and humid day where your hair frizzes uncontrollably and you sweat just standing still in the shade.

Therefore my hair went up into a messy bun as soon as I got back inside.

Visiting Orphans has some great new merchandise (as well as their awesome original pieces) and with any purchase you make, if you put my name (Chelsea Mills) in the "donation information" field at check out, $8 is credited to my fundraising for my trip to India!
I'm wearing the PureReligion henley currently, it's so comfy. I have my eyes on the zip-up hoodie! :)
