"I in You, and You in Me,"

Jesus to the Father said. 

Leaving heaven willingly

He was welcomed by a manger bed. 

"I in You, and You in Me,"

Jesus to the Father said. 

Though bound by flesh, while abiding free,

Better did Son know than any scholar had. 

"I in You, and You in Me,"

Jesus to the Father said. 

All of God in all of man, saw we,

Yet nothing on His own He did. 

"I in You, and You in Me,"

Jesus to the Father said. 

"For kingdom and the glory

I know what must be had."

"I in You, and You in Me,"

Jesus to the Father said. 

"Depraved man I will bring

To abide with the God-head."

"I in You, and You in Me,"

Jesus to the Father said. 

"Such a price to redeem 

A people who may not be led."

"I in You, and You in Me,"

Jesus to the Father wept. 

Surrendering oneness upon Gethsemane. 

The promise would be kept. 

"Why hast Thou forsaken  Me?"

Jesus to the Father cried. 

"Man's sin has separated Him from Me."

And without His Life, He died. 

"I in You, and You in Me,"

Jesus to the Father said. 

Rising up in victory,

The Spirit now could be sent. 

"I in You, and You in Me,"

Jesus to the Father said. 

Now I can live as I was meant. 

The Trinity invites, "Abide in Me."
